We are a K-8 program in Denver Public Schools. Tours will be differentiated to show various grade levels based on family interest. For all grades, we offer general education, special education, multilingual education. For grades K-5, we offer transitional native language instruction for families that speak Spanish at home and also a center-based Autism program. To protect students' rights, we do not ask about special education or 504 status, but we are happy to answer any questions you have about these services. We encourage all families to consider Denver Green School - Southeast in the School Choice process. If you have questions about the School Choice system, you can email SchoolChoice@dpsk12.org.

Overview of Denver Green School - Southeast

Our Approach to Kindergarten

At Denver Green School, we have an incredible kindergarten team. Our teachers, Mr. Robert and Ms. Garcia, both have more than twenty years of teaching experience. We have a full time paraprofessional in both classrooms to support our youngest learners. We believe that it is important to establish a welcoming classroom community for all students as they embark on their elementary experience. At the same time, we work to ensure that students develop essential skills in reading, writing, and math that will set the stage for success in later grades. Learn about our approach to supporting our youngest students from Mr. Robert and Mrs. Garcia.

Transitional Native Language Programming (TNLI)

We are excited to offer TNLI programming starting in the fall of 2025 in our elementary grades. TLNI programming is an option for students who already speak Spanish to receive literacy instruction in Spanish, with the goal of achieving biliteracy. Students in the TNLI program are placed in a class with students who receive all instruction in English. During literacy class, they work with a specialized teacher on grade-level in content in Spanish. Please note that this program is only available to support students who are already fluent in Spanish.
